Rules for the Sedevacantism Sub-Forum (Read Before Posting)
Rules for Discussion of Sedevacantism-
The following are the rules for the discussion of sedevacantism on this forum. First take notice on the top of the forum, that the owner of the forum, Rasha Lampa, is not a sedevacantist and submits to the authority of Pope Benedict XVI. Second, in this sub-forum you will notice that there are different rules for sedevacantists and for non-sedevacantists. These are because the faults that each of these groups commits when debating on forums is distinct. Minor violations or slip-ups will result in the post being edited (conserving the substance of the argument). Posts that are beyond repair will just be deleted. Repeated violations will result in the forum member being banned. Last edited by Forum Janitor on Fri Feb 11, 2011 10:07 pm; edited 1 time in total
Re: Rules for the Sedevacantism Sub-Forum (Read Before Posting)
Rules for sedevacantists:
The purpose of allowing the discussion of sedevacantism on this forum is to examine the issue in theory as well as to examine the evidence. This is not the place for sedevacantists to try to convert forum members to sedevacantism. Therefore the following rules are established:#1. Do not put the names or titles of priests or Bishops ordained/consecrated in the post-Vatican II rites in quotes. Example: "Father" Corapi, "Cardinal Ratzinger".
#2. Do not refer to any of the Post-Vatican II popes as "antipopes" when using their title, example: "Antipope Benedict XVI." If you are a sedevacantist and have a problem with calling him the Pope please use "Benedict XVI."
#3 Avoid rants or exhortations to the other members of the forum, stick to the arguments.
The proper way to conduct yourself in the sedevacantism section is thus (quoting specific Church documents not just generalities):
This is the improper way to conduct the debate:
"I am on my knees praying for all of you that have embraced the Great Apostasy and are stuck in the clutches of the Novus Ordo Church."Last edited by Forum Janitor on Fri Feb 11, 2011 10:15 pm; edited 2 times in total

Rules for non-Sedevacantists
#1. If you don't want to discuss sedevacantism, then you do not have to, do not come to this sub-forum.
#2. Do not use ad hominem attacks on sedevacantist forum members.
#3 Avoid rants or exhortations about how sedevacantism is totally absurd (without citing some arguments or reasons), how sedevacantists are kooky or sedevacantists are mentally ill, or anyone who considers it are out of their mind, etc, etc, etc. Stick to logical arguments especially based on Church documents.
The proper way to conduct yourself in the sedevacantism section is thus (quoting specific Church documents not just generalities):
"Mr. Sede you are wrong because the document you quote really means such and such. It is a non-authoritative document. Also, the other document that you cite is missing the last paragraph which states......."
This is the improper way to conduct the debate:
"Sedevacantism is a disease, I am praying for you that you come back to the fold and stop following two self-proclaimed Benedictines who live in a trailer park in Upstate New York." Similar topics
