So, to play devil's advocate here... where's the transcript for this speech? Like if I go to the Vatican website and click on the speeches or whatever of JPII's... what date should I be checking?

Was the speech originally in English? The video is blurry so I can't tell.

One thing is sure, the György Ligeti soundtrack in the background was certainly added in latter.

The transcript is also in a book called "The Pope speaks to India: All the addresses and homilies of the Holy Father during his ten-day visit to India" published by St. Paul Publications. This book is apparently very hard to find.

There seems to be more in the video than what's included in either of the translations on the Vatican site...

Don't get me wrong, there have been a lot of things the Popes have done that I don't agree with... but aren't we obliged to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they intend to keep the faith? For example, the whole part from the video "may Ghandi live forever" (or something similar) is no where in either the English or Italian transcript provided on the site.

Just wanted to note that, for whatever reason, "May Gandhi live forever" is not part of the transcript on the Vatican site, and in the video, a lot was cut out from the transcript...(possibly because whoever posted it just wanted to focus in on the New World Order part...)

So, I don't know. My guess is that he simply went off script. He was an actor, after all.

The only other possibilities I can think of are that they had a voice actor do a perfect John Paul II voice and say "May Gandhi live forever" (and recorded it with the same microphone with the same placement) or they edited the phrase together using words he already had spoke. Now, I find this unlikely.

Part of the problem is that with NWO conspiracy types, they usually lack the true faith and are anti-Catholic to boot. People like Alex Jones, for instance. I have no use for them. They may be right on a couple things but are dead wrong on a dozen more.

The other problem is that Popes like John Paul II actually give them live ammo.

The guy who posted the video on youtube (TheGoodScribe) was focused on the New World Order aspect of the speech, instead of the "May Gandhi live forever" part... I don't think he would even think of forging something like that, because he already had his NWO quote to work with.

It was the Dimond Brothers that highlighted that phrase when they linked to this youtube video recently.

Although the transcript on the Vatican site, even as it stands, is still troublesome in my opinion.
