When will the current Crisis in the Church end ?

Post  George Brenner on Mon Jan 23, 2012 8:27 pm

I will stay inside the One , Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church pray for and be submissive to the Pope and continue to support and pray for priests like Father Michael Rodriquez and the Fraternal Society of Saint Peter along with my heartfelt hope that the Novus Order and Crisis of Faith created by Vatican II , along with the more times than not diversity in teaching the Faith clearly and truthfully will be restored to previous order as desired by our Savior. I believe in everything Our Church teaches that is to be accepted by the faithful whether I know about it or can fully understand it. I understand how difficult it will be to reconcile with SSPV , SSPX etc, considering how deep the wounds and hurt have been to date. I feel the solution may only come from divine intervention but I am very optimistic about the eventual outcome and promise of our Lord. I will not cease to do the best that I can. I pray with the grace of God that I live my life humbly with charity and love as a lowly sinner. Five decades and counting is too long. Enough !

I am not saying everything below is within my grasp or understanding but much truth and words for thought and analysis by those much wiser than me.

REVEREND RAYMOND TAOUK
27 years of age, Reverend Taouk was born in Sydney of Lebanese parents. He was raised in the Maronite rite. He studied Accounting at Granville TAFE, and worked as an accountant for two years. In high school he actively helped Mary’s Disciples for Jesus, which promoted the Rosary, the Scapular, taught catechism and Catholic apologetics. From this developed a desire for a vocation. He learned about Tradition in 1997, and after having first criticized the Society because he felt it was schismatic, he became an ardent supporter, studying the issues in depth, attending Mass in Rockdale and fortnightly catechisms in Granville. After an Ignatian retreat in June 1997, he entered Holy Cross Seminary in March 1998, transferring to St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in Winona (U.S.A.) in August 2002. Having finished his studies in June 2005, he returned to Holy Cross Seminary for his final preparations for the priesthood.

The Syriac Maronite Church of Antioch (Syriac: ܥܕܬܐ ܣܘܪܝܝܬܐ ܡܪܘܢܝܬܐ ܕܐܢܛܝܘܟܝܐ‎ ʿīṯo suryaiṯo māronaiṯo d'anṭiokia; Arabic: الكنيسة الأنطاكية السريانية المارونية‎al-kanīsa al-antākīyya al-seryānīyya al-mārwnīyya; Latin: Ecclesia Maronitarum) is an Eastern Catholic Church in full communion with the Holy See of Rome (in other words, Maronites are part of the Catholic Church). It traces its heritage back to the community founded by Maron, a 4th-century Syriac monk venerated as a saint. The first Maronite Patriarch, John Maron, was elected in the late 7th century. Although reduced in numbers today, Maronites remain one of the principal ethno-religious groups in Lebanon. The Maronite Church asserts that it has always remained true to the Church of Rome.[2]
Before the conquest by Arabian Muslims reached Lebanon, the Lebanese people, including those who would become Muslim and the majority who would remain Christian, spoke a dialect of Aramaic.[3][4][5] Syriac (Christian Aramaic) still remains the liturgical language of the Maronite Church.[6] The members of the Maronite Church are a part of the Syriac people; though they have, over time, developed a distinctive Maronite character, this has not obscured theirAntiochene and Syriac origin.[7][8]
The Maronite Orders, as well as a select few Catholic Orders, also have the distinction of not having been involved in the child sex abuse that has been so rampant within the Catholic church in the past decades. Investigations into the Orders of the Maronites by Church and Secular organizations found that the problems most pressing with the Maronites involved financial corruption at lower levels, decreased relegiosity amongst the populace and a tendency towards political favoritism and militarism. The Maronite Church has also put in place laws to prevent the abuse of children and women, as with all of the Catholic Orders, to ensure that it never does happen to begin with. It has been suspected by Western Church members that the Maronite priests ability to marry has prevented the aforementioned issues that plague the Western parts of the Catholic Church.
