Excellent sermon George.

If I could make some general comments (not concerning the courageous priest and others like him who take a stand for the truth) about the circumstances that led up to Obama being able to think he could get away with dictating to Catholics they are now required to live according to the gospel of Satan and not that of Christ.

Firstly, to direct all ones fury at Obama is really to miss the target. The anti-life culture would still continue to be implimented regardless of who the puppet president may be. Obama came out of nowhere, -a virtual unknown- and before you could say "Jack Robinson" he was president (and not even a legitimate one at that being that he is not a natural born American) He is president for the simple reason that the real powers that be permitted him to be president. (This is true not only of America, but of every western democracy. I could site many examples of proof of this but it would take more time than I have right now). Notice how Ron Paul for example, was kept from being heard and denied air time that is generally conceded according to and in relation to a canidates popularity in the polls. When he was 3rd in the ratings, he recieved less public air time from the mainstream media than those who were further down the ratings, some by as much as 5 or 6 places. If it weren't for the now popularity of the alternative media (mostly internet based) he would probaly have disappeared into oblivion through lack of exposure. (I'm not here saying that Ron Paul is the man, as I don't know enough about him but merely stating the obvious, that the true powers that be do not like him and have effective ways of stiffling him).

In general I believe that nearly all the bishops are spiritually blind and they believe they are fighting against human powers only rather than as St Paul warns in Ephesians 6,
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (12,13)

Their meeting with Obama and their spiritual nievity in believing that he was as good as his word (especially when he had previously, in other matters, proved that he wasn't) shows their lack of discernment and their total lack of spiritual maturity. This is our spiritual leaders we're talking about, not just some armchair theologians. How did they ever imagine they'd get truth from one possesd by the father of lies, or justice from one proven to be totally amoral.
When now, they're reaping -in practical terms- the consequences of their years and decades of silence and negligence they are in a tissy as to what to do, calling on the laiity to make a stand and put their butts on the line when all along they told the very same laity that it was ok to vote for a pro abortion politician provided they weren't sanctioning that policy but merely approving some other uncontentious policy held by that particular candidate (the hypocracy of it all). Now that everything's gone bottem up they're running around like headless chickens at a loss what to do (a bit like locking the stable door after the horse has bolted).
The only answer and remedy (as has always been the case) is the bold profession of the truths of the faith, the reinstatement of the Mass of all time, the outlawing of the irreverent Novus Ordo Missae, the excommunication of those among their ranks who are in cahoots with the other side, the public erxcommunication of those in the public/political arena who while claiming to profess the Catholic faith, sanction or condone policies which are in total opposition to the same Catholic faith.
Take those few practical steps and maybe God will see that they're serious and provide then His supernatural help without which we can do nothing.

May more priests (like Fr above) put their own necks on the line first before asking the same of the faithful.

There are more priests like Father Marcel then we will ever know. There are more faithful then we could imagine. And there are more that will be faithful if they are taught the Catholic Truth. I get a mental picture of You and the Devil with your hands around each others neck. Do not let your anger turn on the Pope in this time of need and support or all that is good in the Church. We are in a spiritual mess right now. Some caused it. Some nurtured it. Some encourage it. Some are naive as to what is happening as Father, you and I point out. But you are off base in thinking that the core doctrine is in any way been compromised or changed. All the official teachings of the Church, including Pope Eugene IV are intact. Billy babel as been permitted to weave the complexity, confusion and chaos the church now suffers over the last fifty years. Charity and love void of truth is worthless. It takes all three. Be part of the solution. Your passion and love for the Church is obvious. Let Holy Mother Church decide the fate of some or many, lest we judge wrongly which may not be pardonable. If there is a specific attack on someone or the Church itself, then we need to do what we need to do for silence also can be a terrible sin of omission. We should pick our battles carefully. Columba, I do not know what your end game is but I pray that through your conversations with MRyan that you may find peace and truth.

George, the end game is the salvation of my soul. Sinful as it is I still hold out some hope for it. Denying the clearly defined truths of the faith are definately not part of that journey.

BTW George. (I better include Simple Faith here). MRyan (known better by us his friends as Mike), is not the pope. He may sound like the pope and act like the pope but he is "NOT" the pope. God forbid that he ever becme pope for it will only be his worst nightmare come true. The sede's will have been proved right after all. Smile

I'll concede his ascension to the chair if he makes me Primate of all Ireland.
you know what they say about, "A little power corrupts way more than absolute control."
Watch out then all ye spud eating, leprachaun chasing, river dancin' poteen drinkin' yarn spinning Micks and Paddy's. I'm on my way and I mean business.
