social media and sin
I continue to find myself arguing with mostly Catholics on these sites. Is it the sin of pride, or do I actually care about their souls? I'm not too sure, but I know that it's a near occasion of sin to continue to argue with these people. I don't think it's sinful to defend the Church, but I'm not convinced that I'm doing it for the Church as much as I am for myself. Wasted hours I could have spent in prayer, I spent trying to explain something as simple as what "no salvation outside the Church" actually means to people who don't accept it. From now on, if I have something to discuss, it will be here.

Just keep it informational and topical?
Seems to me that you have simple questions yourself and I’ve never witnessed you engaging in pointless arguments.
Of course, I would like to engage in more systematic discussions in this forum myself.
Re: social media and sin
Of course, I welcome people who want to discuss the topic wherever I meet them, here or anywhere else.
Re: social media and sin
I think, in retrospect, it was a sin of pride(at least for me) to argue on protestant sites. Plus it made me lose inner peace. But on most Catholic sites, some arguing is good for me. It's how I learn.
