ONE?, Holy, Catholic, Apostolic???

I know we Catholics claim bragging rights on Church unity in discussions with our Protestant brethren but a few hours on this forum has me wondering. Seems to me that we argue on things from minutiae to the infallibility of particular Church documents to Dogma and everything in between. Is there room in the Church for those with differing opinions or are we truly only "Catholic" with those in complete agreement with us. "Water baptism," "Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus," "heresy," "ipso facto,"...ad nauseum. I am no scholar. I don't have time to research 2000 years of Church teaching. I wouldn't understand the vast majority of what I read anyway. I follow the Catholic Church because I believe that is what Jesus wants me to do. I hope that whatever issues the Church experiences, Jesus remains in charge. God gave us a Church to guide His sheep into salvation. I am grateful that I am only a sheep. I have faith in Jesus and His promise. That is all I can hope for, I suppose. God Bless.

Don't be put off by what can be described as "somewhat heated" debates here.
Occasionally we do settle down and exchange pleasantries.

Thank you for the warm welcome. Debates, even heated ones, can be alright as long as we don't lose sight of our ultimate goal of salvation.
