Rasha asks all forum members: Do you need to believe in Jesus to be saved?
Please answer yes or no to this question (as anything else is from the devil):
Do you need to believe in Jesus to be saved?
Do you need to believe in Jesus to be saved?

I'm not sure I understand the question -hmmm... LOL
Everyone of the age of discernment must take Jesus as Lord and Savior to be saved!!
That is my ecumenical bridge to our Fundamentalist Protestant sisters/brothers. BoDers are not really ecumenical when it comes to dealing with Born Again Christians--LOL
BTW wasn't Jim going to invite some of them here?

Re: Rasha asks all forum members: Do you need to believe in Jesus to be saved?
Yes, absolutely. Within Roman Catholicism, there are a hierarchy of truths from the Deposit of Faith, given by our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, God Incarnate. At the pinnacle of the Catholic Faith is the The Athanasian Creed:
http://www.ccel.org/ccel/schaff/creeds2.iv.i.iv.html
Of course, all the members on this forum know this! I am merely stating this for the benefit of our forum guests. Here, of course, are the relevant sections of the creed:
1. Whosoever will be saved: before all things it is necessary that he hold the Catholic Faith:
44. This is the Catholic Faith: which except a man believe faithfully [truly and firmly], he can not be saved.
I have been reading some of the other threads on the forum. Some individuals ("Holy Russia") like to appeal to the "overwhelming consensus" of modern theologians. Here is a fundamental maxim for all to remember:
Twice nothing is still nothing.
Substitute any number of your choosing. The same goes for modernistic "Catholic" theologians. Their "opinion" on this subject is nil, nothing, squat, and if they manage to avoid Hell, they can discuss their heresies in the depths of Purgatory.
