Germany: In Berlin the rumors are increasingly circulating that the Pilgrimage director of Maria Vesperbild, Prelate Wilhelm Imkamp, will be the new Bishop of Berlin. The 'Berliner Zeitung' said this on Saturday. The Old Liberals are chalking this up to his "plain text Catholicism", explained the paper: It serves "as a conservative concept of the enemy for Old Liberal functionaries". At the same time the paper reported that the new Archbishop "was a long decided thing": "Also because of the upcoming Pope visit one wanted to be united -- like perhaps Archbishop Matthias Heinrich (56)". For one church figure of the figure of Prelate Imkamp is "not the right time. Still not" -- says the 'Berliner Zeitung'.
