Confession----ever notice??
Ever notice that when a parish has confessions set at a certain time the priest either
a) comes on time
b) comes late
c) does not come at all
In my experience it's been options b) and c) more often than not but NEVER EVER will they arrive early.
I've found this across the board- Novus Ordo parishes, Conservative Novus Ordo parishes, Byzantine parishes, TLM parishes....
Why is this?

RashaLampa, I think that you already know the answer to your questions. But lets review. As taken from Our Catholic Faith , Volume 145 , no 16, April 19th, 2012.
Consider the following sad and telling statistics from the center for applied research in the Apostolate(CARA): Only 20% of those who identify themselves as Catholics attend Sunday Mass every week. Only 12% attend Mass on a Holy Day of Obligation. And exactly what are the Holy days of obligation? Many priests no longer know. Pick your Country, state or County and just maybe it will be listed in the Church bulletin or announced from the pulpit. 45% NEVER avail themselves of the Sacrament of Confession and another 30 % only go LESS than once per year. Only 57 % believe that Jesus is truly present in the Holy Eucharist. Only 56 % pray on a daily basis. Feel free to raise that figure slightly if a tornado hits your house or a loved one is badly injured. Do I need to even list the statistics for what supposed Catholics feel about Homosexuality, contraception, abortion, stem cell research or euthinasia.
If fallen away Catholics existed as an actual group, it would be the second largest non religious religious group in America. There are great Churches like Saint John Cantius in Chicago, where Confessions are heard continually before during and after Masses. The lines seem to never end and women with head coverings are the norm. Pious people are to be found everywhere BUT as a percent of those that do the will of God, it is a miniscule number.
As Father John Hardon, a Zealous and faith-filled Jesuit whose cause for Sainthood was opened in 2005, succinctly described the situation as follows: "The whole moral order of once civilized nations has been subverted. Each persons mind contains the norm for morality and each persons will is at liberty to choose what he or she wants, without dependence on the mind and will of the Creator"
Secularism, moral relativism, and materialism where self indulgence and immediate gratification are the driving priority for daily life.
We have lived through a half century of a 'crisis of catechesis'. Whole generations have not been taught the Catholic Faith. It is the mission of the Church to teach. It is not forbidden to forbid. The great bear hug of love has far too often been lacking the appropriate measure of truth as the will of God demands.
If the Mother of God has asked that Russia be consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary for the conversion of Russia, I for one do not see where Russia has converted. What harm ever comes from repeating anything that has been asked of us as Catholics to do according to the will of Heaven.
